1982 Porsche 911 RSR Backdate

Our #CSF911 Backdate to the Future Build was a Top 12 finisher at the 2021 SEMA Battle of the Builders show!

Built for our friends at CSF Radiators

This very special Porsche RSR project was build to be the best a 911 can be. We were given much freedom to use the best possible parts and materials for this car. The project was to be a classic 911 with the best modern components money buys. This ensured the stunning classic 911 widebody RSR look, with powerful modern drivetrain, suspension and brakes.

BODY

The body was dipped to bare metal, new steel turbo flares were added. The front tub was modified to make it 1973 style. An aluminum hood was made for the car, complete with a 959 style gas door and filler neck. Custom steel bumpers were made for the car, along with 3D scanned & molded vacuum bagged carbon fiber front spoiler, rear valence, bu

BRAKES, SUSPENSION & WHEELS

The car has KW coil over suspension, RSR adjustable front and rear sway bars, Turbo trailing arms, custom Stop-Tech brakes with one off color as well as custom one off center lock 3 piece wheels, unique to this car only. The wheels were anodized and ceramic coated to match all other trim and engine compartment parts.

ENGINE

The heart and soul of this car is in the engine compartment - the 3.9 liter Kinsler Drive By Wire TPI monster, created by SV Automotive. This engine dyno tested at 466 horsepower at the World Dyno. Only the best components were used - including custom high compression pistons and cylinders, twin plug ported race heads with big valves & titanium retainers, race connecting rods, modified & cross-drilled crankshaft, GT3 oil pump, custom cams designed for this specific engine, premium dyno-tuned headers, valved & modified titanium GT3 muffler with our own 935 style titanium exhaust tips, 230 A alternator for the electric AC, knock sensors, Motec engine management and much more. This engine revs extremely quickly.

ELECTRONICS, HVAC

We included electric Air Conditioning, check engine light, Porsche classic Navigation radio that is built-in in the dashboard, billet heater controls, bi-led headlights and LED brake & parking lights.

INTERIOR

The interior of this car is as exotic as is the engine compartment. We used half a dozen genuine Goyard bags for the interior details, such as the dash trim, seat inserts, door pockets etc. These bags were carefully cut and re-purposed for the interior appointments, as seen in the pictures. Other interior details include custom built green early 911 style gauges with modern internals, billet heater controls, Porsche navigation radio that was built in the dash, Alcantara dash & headliner, our own fabrication roll bar with a removable harness bar and many other custom details.
